babybay® Warranty

babybay 10 Year Limited Warranty

Warranty Coverage

babybay warrants that eligible babybay solid wood products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor residential household use for 10 years from the original date of purchase, provided that the defect materially affects the product’s safety, structure, or intended function, and subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions stated below.

Registration is required within 90 days after the original date of purchase to receive the 10 year limited warranty.

Failure to register does not reduce, exclude, or limit any warranty rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

This is a limited warranty. It applies only to the original owner of the product. For products received as gifts, the original owner is the first gift recipient or first end user of the product. This limited warranty is not transferable after the product has been sold, gifted, transferred, or otherwise provided by the original owner to another person.

This limited warranty applies only to eligible babybay products purchased from babybay or an authorized babybay reseller.

Eligible Products

This 10 year limited warranty applies to eligible babybay solid wood products that are expressly advertised or identified by babybay as covered by the babybay 10 Year Limited Warranty. Covered products may include wooden bedside sleepers, wooden bassinets, toddler towers, chairs, and other eligible babybay solid wood products.

Because babybay products are made from natural wood and may include painted, stained, sealed, or otherwise finished surfaces, each product may vary in color, tone, shade, grain, texture, markings, finish, sheen, and overall appearance. Natural wood variations and finish variations, including color and tone differences between products, between production batches, or between parts of the same product, are expected characteristics of real wood and finished wood products and are not defects.

This warranty does not apply to textiles, mattresses, mattress pads, fitted sheets, canopies, bedding, non-wood accessories, replacement parts purchased separately, or other products unless babybay expressly identifies them as eligible for this 10 year limited warranty.

Warranty Registration

To receive the 10 year limited warranty, the product must be registered within 90 days after the original date of purchase.

Warranty registration may be completed online through the babybay Product Registration page.

The original purchaser or the original gift recipient may register the product.

For products received as gifts, the warranty applies to the first gift recipient or first end user of the product, provided the product otherwise qualifies for this limited warranty.

To register the product, babybay may require:

  • Proof of purchase showing the original purchase date, such as an original receipt, gift receipt, order confirmation, registry purchase record, or other reasonable proof of purchase.
  • The original owner’s name, address, and email address.
  • The product model, serial number, or other product identification, if available.

Failure to register the product within 90 days after the original date of purchase may limit coverage under this 10 year limited warranty. Failure to register does not reduce, exclude, or limit any warranty rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

What This Warranty Covers

This limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in eligible babybay solid wood products that occur during normal indoor residential household use and in accordance with the product instructions, warnings, and intended use, provided that the defect materially affects the product’s safety, structure, or intended function.

If babybay determines that a covered defect exists, babybay will, at its option, repair the defective product or part, replace the defective product or part, or provide a product or part of comparable type, quality, and value if the original item is no longer available.

  • For sleep products, damage, fit issues, instability, unsafe conditions, or other issues caused by use with mattresses, mattress pads, sheets, bedding, accessories, attachments, replacement parts, or other components that are incompatible with the product, create an unsafe condition, cause damage to the product, or are not used in accordance with babybay instructions and warnings.
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning, improper care, improper maintenance, or use of unsuitable cleaning products.
  • Damage caused by water, excessive moisture, mold, mildew, improper storage, or abnormal environmental conditions.

This also includes variations in painted, stained, sealed, or otherwise finished surfaces, including differences in finish color, tone, shade, sheen, texture, coating appearance, or finish absorption into the wood. • Labor, assembly, disassembly, installation, inspection, disposal, or similar costs incurred by the customer, except where such costs are required to be covered by applicable law.
  • Incidental, indirect, special, consequential, or other economic losses, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or replacement costs, except where such exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.

Warranty Service

If babybay determines that the product or part is covered by this limited warranty, babybay will provide the applicable repair or replacement remedy described above.

babybay will determine whether repair, replacement of a component, replacement of a part, or replacement of the product is the appropriate remedy.

Replacement parts or products may vary in color, finish, grain, design, or model from the original product.

babybay will cover normal shipping charges for replacement parts, components, or replacement products sent to the original owner within the United States, when provided as part of an approved warranty claim and as determined by babybay, unless otherwise prohibited by law.

babybay may require the customer to return the defective product or part before providing a repair or replacement. If a return is required, babybay will provide return instructions.

Do not send any product or part to babybay unless babybay has requested the return and provided return instructions.

If babybay determines that the claimed issue is not covered by this limited warranty, the customer may be responsible for any shipping, inspection, or return costs, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of Remedies

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, babybay’s obligations under this limited warranty are limited to repair or replacement of the defective covered product or part, at babybay’s option.

No refund of the purchase price is provided under this limited warranty unless required by applicable law.

This limited warranty does not cover incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, replacement costs, or other costs resulting from a product defect, except where such limitation or exclusion is not allowed by applicable law.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Implied Warranties

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the duration of any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, is limited to the minimum duration permitted by applicable law.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Nothing in this limited warranty excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under applicable state law.
